Look-up services  I can offer on-the-spot help in archives in East and West Sussex and London to find entries in census, General Registration, wills and probate records, including help with “brick walls.”

House history Have you ever wondered who lived in your house before you, the history of the house itself or what went on in the surrounding community?

Transcription and translation Do you have old documents in hand-writing you can’t decipher or letters and documents in other languages? I offer skills in palaeography (scripts used in earlier centuries). I speak and write excellent French and German and have a good understanding of Spanish, with access to colleagues who speak other languages such as Polish, Russian and Swedish.
